And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Miron Karoa!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karoa has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Tikkanen.

Karoa throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tikkanen's waist but Tikkanen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Karoa off to one side.

Tikkanen stuffs the takedown attempt from Karoa. Karoa gets slowly back to his feet.
Esko Tikkanen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Miron Karoa.
Tikkanen moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Karoa shoots in but Tikkanen avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Karoa looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tikkanen is fending him off so far but Karoa persists. Nope, Tikkanen circles away and we're back to standing.
Tikkanen comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Miron Karoa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tikkanen lands an overhand right.
Tikkanen bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Karoa's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
