Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Coleston!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xavier Worner!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Coleston gets a takedown into half guard.

Coleston decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Worner shoots in for a takedown but Coleston shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Coleston decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Coleston takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Worner is looking to control Coleston's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Worner avoid being mounted?

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Coleston lands a nice short elbow.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Coleston closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Worner did well to prevent Coleston getting side control.

Coleston's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Worner flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Coleston seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Worner throws a lazy head kick

and Coleston counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Worner!
Coleston cracks Worner with a big elbow.
Worner is trying to control Coleston's posture but Coleston avoids it.
Coleston tries to move to mount but Worner blocks the move with his legs.
Coleston is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Worner can do to turn this around?
Coleston takes a little break here. Worner wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Coleston thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Worner can't do much from the bottom here.
Coleston has knee on belly momentarily but Worner bucks him off and regains half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Coleston is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Worner defends it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Coleston uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Worner.
Coleston lands a nice looking body kick.
Worner gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Coleston counters by clinching up.
Coleston keeps control of Worner as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Worner wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Coleston escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Worner on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Coleston scores with a head kick. Worner tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Coleston really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
