Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Everton Belmiro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jimmy Lowler! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Dirk Anderson and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Belmiro forces Lowler back against the cage and clinches. Lowler is trying to pull guard but Belmiro turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. A short body shot lands from Belmiro as the two fighters clinch.
Lowler is trying to push Belmiro away but Belmiro has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Lowler fails to pull guard.
Lowler tries to break the clinch but Belmiro is controlling the position. Belmiro wants to break the clinch but can't.
Belmiro breaks from the clinch.
Belmiro forces Lowler back against the cage and clinches. Lowler keeps control of Belmiro as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Lowler is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Belmiro gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Everton Belmiro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy Lowler. Lowler working aggressively here.
Lowler wants to get back to striking at distance but Belmiro won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Belmiro has had enough of the clinch but Lowler keeps him there for the moment. Lowler jumps guard but Belmiro turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Still in the clinch, Belmiro scores with a nice short uppercut. Lowler is working for takedown but Belmiro is calmly controlling the position for now. Belmiro stops a takedown attempt from Lowler.
That's one minute gone in the round. Belmiro lands a left hand that snaps the head of Lowler backwards. Belmiro is trying to maintain a safe position but Lowler gets an underhook and turns Belmiro into the cage. Lowler manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Lowler utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Belmiro decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lowler, up you get! Belmiro wants to clinch up but Lowler keeps it at a distance. Belmiro wants to clinch. Belmiro doesn't manage to clinch there - Lowler circles away.
Belmiro fails in his attempt to clinch. Despite the aggression on Lowler's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Belmiro is looking to clinch but Lowler is avoiding it.
Good exchange - Belmiro coming out on top. Belmiro looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lowler circles away from the clinch attempt.

Belmiro is trying to push Lowler away but Lowler has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Belmiro lands on the inside with an uppercut. Belmiro working hard to break the clinch. Lowler drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Belmiro looking to slow down the pace here. Belmiro wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks. Lowler is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Belmiro to keep the fight standing. Belmiro working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Lowler jumps guard but Belmiro turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Belmiro lands a right hand. Belmiro breaks from the clinch.
Belmiro moves into range and clinches up with Lowler. A short right hand to the side of the head by Belmiro. Lowler tries to pull guard but Belmiro holds him up against the cage and eventually Lowler drops back down to his feet.
Belmiro scores with a nice hook to the head. Belmiro is trying to force a seperation but Lowler has the dominant position. Belmiro gets underhooks to prevent Lowler's takedown attempt.
Belmiro working some nice short punches in the clinch. Lowler jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Belmiro walks away with a smile on his face. Lowler gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Belmiro tries to close the distance and clinch but Lowler swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Lowler feints a counter leg kick. Belmiro clinches up against the cage. Belmiro lands a nice uppercut. Lowler is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Belmiro pulls him back up using the underhooks.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lowler tries to pull guard but Belmiro won't allow it.
Lowler is trying to break the clinch but Belmiro is controlling him. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Lowler is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Belmiro to keep the fight standing. A frustrated look appears on Belmiro's face as he tries to break the clinch. Belmiro manages to break the clinch.
Belmiro tries to close the distance and clinch but Lowler swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. This has been an exciting period of action! Belmiro lands with a nice combination. Lowler backs away looking to recover.
It looks like Jimmy Lowler has been cut. Belmiro gets in close and instigates a clinch. Belmiro taking a breather. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Belmiro. Belmiro makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. A frustrated look appears on Belmiro's face as he tries to break the clinch. Lowler jumps guard but Belmiro stands there with Lowler around his waist. Lowler gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Everton Belmiro dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jimmy Lowler's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Oooooh!!! Belmiro has knocked Lowler down with a huge combo! Belmiro steps away and waves a wobbly Lowler back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Lowler is rocked! Lowler avoids a punch combination nicely.
Lowler feints the counter takedown. Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Belmiro moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Lowler! Belmiro continues to tee off on Lowler, landing with a left and a right! Belmiro connects with a right hand that leaves Lowler sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Belmiro!
