Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy The Kid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaiea Keona (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Kid scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Keona attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
The Kid definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
The Kid throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Keona .
Keona shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with The Kid but The Kid pushes him off and we're back to square one.
The Kid instigates a clinch.
The Kid is leaning against Keona and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
The Kid lands with a right to the head.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as The Kid accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Keona shoots for a takedown but The Kid saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

The Kid has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Keona after a bit of a struggle.

Keona jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as The Kid walks away with a smile on his face. Keona gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

The Kid goes for a takedown attempt but Keona pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The Kid keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
The Kid scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

The Kid escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

The Kid fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
The Kid tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
The Kid lands with a big left! Keona is wobbled badly! The Kid comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Keona to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
