Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bart Simpson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Michael Johnstone and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Simpson or perhaps it was just good defense by James, which made it look bad.

Simpson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

James wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Simpson, who protects the arm well.

James stands up and we're back to a striking position.

James shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Simpson defends it nicely.
James jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Simpson feints and as James raises his hands in defense, Simpson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
