Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dick Wad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kurt Graser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dick Wad! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kurt Graser! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Dirk Anderson and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wad fails with an attempt to clinch.
Wad tries to clinch up but Graser circles away and keeps his distance. Wad moves in looking to clinch but Graser pushes him off. Graser fails with a takedown attempt. Graser closes the distance and clinches. Wad misses with the head strike.
Wad scores with a nice hook to the head. Wad tries a body shot but Graser blocks it.
Graser blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wad lands with a short head shot on the inside. Graser tries for a takedown. No joy.
Graser blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Graser fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Dick Wad has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kurt Graser. Wad lands a nice uppercut.

A frustrated look appears on Graser's face as he tries to break the clinch. Graser changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Wad fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Wad lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Graser is trying to break free. Wad throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Graser blocks it with crossed arms. Graser blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Wad tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Wad lands a right hand. Graser wants to break the clinch but can't.
Wad tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Wad lands with a right to the head. Wad slows down the pace here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Graser wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Graser tries to pull guard but Wad holds him up against the cage and eventually Graser drops back down to his feet.
Wad escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Graser fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Wad, pushing him back against the cage. A short uppercut from Wad. This has been an exciting period of action! A body shot lands from Wad.
A short right from Wad. Wad is pressed up against the cage. Graser has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Wad down to the mat. Wad avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Graser misses with a takedown attempt - Wad sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Graser swats away the attempt to clinch by Wad. Graser dives in for a single leg takedown but Wad sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Wad thinks about countering with a body kick. Wad closes the distance and pushes Graser back into the cage. Graser avoiding damage as Wad throws knees to the body.

Wad misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Graser is trying to drag Wad to the mat but Wad just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Wad's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wad presses Graser against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Graser tries to circle away but Wad has him pinned against the cage. Wad leaning his opponent against the cage. Wad seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression. Wad working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Wad tries to land knees in the clinch but Graser avoids the damage to the body. Wad lands with a left to the head. Wad misses with an elbow strike.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A nice left hand lands by Wad.

Wad lands with a short head shot on the inside. Graser jumps guard but Wad turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Graser takes a shot to the head. Graser is looking to break free of the clinch but Wad has double underhooks. Graser manages to pull guard.
Graser is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Wad knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Graser on the ground. Graser wants to stand and escape but Wad is having none of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Graser bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Wad's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Graser drops back looking for a leg! Wad is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wad manages to kick Graser off! Graser jumps back into Wad's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wad has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Graser has passed into side control.
Wad tries to improve position but can't. Wad is working hard here to advance position. Graser wants to control but Wad is keeping him busy. Graser is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Wad has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Wad controls the position for a moment. You can see the frustration on Wad's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Wad is looking for a sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wad managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Graser.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Graser is looking to take a break and control but Wad is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kurt Graser is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Wad moves into the clinch successfully.
Wad lands on the inside with an uppercut. Wad keeps control of Graser as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Graser is trying to break the clinch but Wad is controlling him. Wad missing with knees to the body.

Graser throws a body kick that misses. Wad scores with a jab. Graser acknowledges it with a nod of the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wad tries to clinch up but Graser circles away and keeps his distance. Wad clinches. A short right from Wad on the inside. Wad digs a right hand underneath Graser's ribcage. Graser let out a lung full of air as it connected. Wad misses with a hook to the ribs.
That's one minute gone in the round. A short right hand to the side of the head by Wad. Graser drops down looking for an ankle pick but Wad pulls his leg out and moves away.

Wad is fending him off so far but Graser persists. Nope, Wad circles away and we're back to standing. Graser takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Wad gets in close and instigates a clinch. Graser has had enough of the clinch but Wad keeps him there for the moment. A short right hand to the side of the head by Wad. A short right hand to the side of the head by Wad. A quick uppercut on the inside from Wad. Nice body punch from Wad. Wad lands a left hand.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Graser's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Wad throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Wad softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Wad throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Grasers head. Graser drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
With the fighters up against the cage, Wad throws an elbow but misses. Wad scores with a shot to the side of Graser's head. Wad tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Graser avoids it. Wad tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Graser letting Wad take a breather here. Wad looking to throw knees to the head but Graser is blocking nicely.
Wad lands a right hand. Graser jumps guard and drags Wad to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Graser bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Wad's guard. Wad looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Wad has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Wad keeping moving, preventing Graser from controlling successfully.
And that's the end of the fight! Dick Wad showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Wad, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
