Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kurt Olsson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rasmus Johansson! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johansson takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
It looks like Rasmus Johansson has been cut. A punch combination from Olsson misses. Johansson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Olsson's waist but Olsson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Johansson off to one side. Kurt Olsson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Johansson slips a jab and a cross from Olsson.
Olsson lands a left and a right that sends Johansson crashing to the canvas! Olsson dives into mount looking to finish! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Olsson tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Johansson can do anything to dispel that myth. Johansson tries to lock up and control but Olsson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Johansson looks gassed! Olsson trying to control but he's not successful this time. Olsson is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent. Johansson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johansson manages to regain half guard. Good work. Olsson wants to stand but Johansson has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Johansson wants to get back to full guard. Olsson tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Johansson is trying to maintain the position but Olsson is very close to passing his half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Johansson is trying to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johansson trying to control but Olsson postures up.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Olsson lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
That has opened up Rasmus Johansson's cut even more. Olsson dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Johansson. That did some damage! Johansson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Olsson scores with a jab to the jaw. Olsson throws a series of punches but Johansson avoids them all with ease. Olsson bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Olsson moves into the clinch successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Olsson is looking to break free of the clinch but Johansson has double underhooks. Olsson can't break the clinch.
Olsson is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Olsson with a knee to the head.
Johansson prevents Olsson from breaking the clinch. Olsson gets underhooks to prevent Johansson's takedown attempt.
The is referee keeping an eye on Johansson - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Olsson is looking to break free of the clinch but Johansson has double underhooks. Olsson wants to get back to striking at distance but Johansson won't allow it.

He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Olsson regains guard immediately. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Johansson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Johansson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johansson tries to clinch up. A head kick from Olsson lands but Johansson takes it in his stride. Johansson takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Johansson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Johansson content just to control the position here. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Johansson scoring with strikes but Olsson is staying in there. You get the feeling that Olsson really doesn't like being in this position too much.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Johansson breaks from Olsson's wrist control and lands an elbow. Johansson thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Johansson dominating with strikes here. Johansson landing punches. Johansson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Olsson wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kurt Olsson will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Rasmus Johansson's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

That's one minute gone in the round. Olsson keeping moving, preventing Johansson from controlling successfully. Johansson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Olsson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Johansson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Olsson throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Olsson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Johansson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Johansson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Johansson scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Johansson is taking a breather. Olsson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Johansson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice strikes from Johansson there. Johansson wants to free his trapped foot but Olsson is holding on for dear life with his legs. Johansson trying to control the action but Olsson is working from the bottom. Olsson tries to kick Johansson off but Johansson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Olsson tries to kick Johansson off in order to stand up. Johansson Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Olsson on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Johansson working the head and body with strikes. Johansson tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. A lull in the action here as Johansson stalls from top position. Rasmus Johansson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rasmus Johansson has got the better of the ground game so far. Johansson creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Kurt Olsson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Johansson working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
And that's the end of the fight! Rasmus Johansson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Olsson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
