Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Arnold Higgins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cheif Keef (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Arnold Higgins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cheif Keef! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Eliza Hachem and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Keef tries to close the distance and clinch but Higgins swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Keef shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Higgins napping and manages to drive through into side control! You can see the frustration on Higgins's face as Keef controls the position. Higgins tries to escape but Keef is in control. Keef controls the position. Higgins knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Keef on the ground. Keef is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Higgins knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Keef content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Keef is trying to get an arm triangle but Higgins is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Keef tries to advance to mount but Higgins denies him. Keef is looking to take a break and control but Higgins is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Keef scoring with punches and elbows. Higgins is looking for a sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Keef controlling the position. Higgins can't do much from the bottom here. Higgins is looking to regain half guard here but Keef keeps moving and retains side control. Keef has knee on belly and moves into mount. Keef in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Keef avoids the attempt from Higgins to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Keef pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Keef lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Higgins hang on? Higgins regains half guard. Keef controlling the action here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Keef has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Keef closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Higgins takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Higgins wants to get back to his feet but Keef drags him back down. Higgins tries to bench press Keef off him but Keef keeps the position. Keef tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Keef has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Keef has control of an arm but Higgins manages to advance to Keef's back! Higgins is looking to control Keef but Keef is wriggling around and keeping busy. Keef rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Keef has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Keef actively working from the bottom here. Higgins is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Keef sees it coming and defends easily. Keef makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Keef. Keef is adopting a defensive guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Higgins stopping the sweep attempt from Keef.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Keef is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Higgins is aware though and is defending well. Higgins has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Keef is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Keef is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Keef is looking for a triangle but Higgins pushes his legs off easily.

Higgins wanted to stand there but Keef had control of the position. Keef is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Higgins frees his head nicely. Oh but Keef has switched to an armbar! Higgins is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
