Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Aydine Antona (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rosen Strasser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Antona comes to the cage accompanied by Laid to Rest by Lamb of God. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Antona will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
A nice inside leg kick there by Strasser. That's going to slow Antona down.
Antona throws a series of punches but Strasser moves out of range.

Antona ducks under a wild hook from Strasser.
Strasser throws an overhand right that lands on Antona's shoulder, as Antona tries to avoid the shot.

Strasser stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Antona.

Antona throws a front kick aimed at Strasser's knee but Strasser avoids it well.
Strasser swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Strasser moves out of range as Antona strikes.

The crowd cheers as Strasser lands an impressive looking overhand right. Antona doesn't seem phased though.

Antona tries to bum rush Strasser with a series of wild strikes but Strasser uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Antona moves forwards but Strasser connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Antona loads up on a big right hand but Strasser slips the punch.

Strasser throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Antona takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Strasser misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Strasser counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Antona thinking.
Strasser lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Antona at a distance.
Antona is looking to score with low kicks.
Strasser swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Antona throws a big shot that misses.
Strasser looks to score with a jab to the body but Antona is just out of range.

Antona on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Antona throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Strasser getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Antona is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Strasser.

Strasser is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Strasser takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Strasser is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Strasser throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Antona counters with a good low kick that Strasser was not able to check.
Antona throws a wild body kick that Strasser sees coming a mile off.
Antona throws a quick inside leg kick.
Antona scores with a jab. Strasser acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Strasser has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Antona displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Strasser throws out the jab.
Antona misses with a wild combination.
Strasser avoids a kick to the body.
Strasser just misses with a punch to the body.
Strasser tests Antona's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Antona pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Strasser throws a hook but Antona blocks it.
Strasser lands a really nice looking cross but Antona seems unphased.
Strasser throws a head kick but Antona moves out of range.
Antona is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Strasser's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Antona misses with a hook.
Strasser throws a hook to the side of Antona's head but Antona sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Antona rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Strasser moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Antona pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Strasser is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Antona had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Antona throws a hook but Strasser avoids it easily.
Antona throws a looping overhand right but Strasser ducks down to avoid it.
Antona swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Strasser tries a low kick but Antona avoids it.
Strasser lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Antona is rocked!
Strasser lands an uppercut, right on the button! Antona tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
