Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ray Reilly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nathan Redmond!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Daniel Cesar and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crunch! Reilly slams his shin into Redmond's torso.

Redmond clinches with his opponent.
A short right from Reilly.
Reilly lands with a short shot to the head.
Redmond tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Reilly avoids it.
Redmond takes a shot to the head.

Redmond breaks the clinch.
Reilly has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Warehouse in the buildup to the fight.
A combination from Reilly does no damage.
Reilly looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Redmond with a poor takedown
and Reilly counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Decent striking displayed by Redmond there.
A big right from Redmond misses.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Reilly lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
A swing and a miss from Reilly.
A big left from Redmond misses.

Redmond rushes Reilly and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Redmond is pushing Reilly up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
The referee is keeping an eye on Reilly - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Redmond dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Reilly blocks an elbow strike from Redmond.
A short right from Reilly on the inside.
Reilly lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Reilly misses with some punches.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Redmond has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Reilly prevents the takedown attempt.
Redmond is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Reilly fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Reilly is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Reilly blocks an elbow strike from Redmond.

Reilly breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Reilly pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Redmond pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Reilly lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Redmond changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Reilly tries to avoid it but Redmond manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Reilly to the ground. Reilly escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ray Reilly has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nathan Redmond.
Reilly throws a head kick that misses.
Reilly tries to land a front kick but Redmond steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Reilly tests Redmond's chin there with a solid looking shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Redmond takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Reilly connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.


Redmond is rocked!
Reilly lands with a right hand.
Redmond is still on wobbly legs! Can Reilly finish him?

Redmond gets in close and instigates a clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Redmond.
Reilly lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Reilly fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Reilly has Redmond pushed against the cage.
Reilly's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Reilly swings wildly with an uppercut but Redmond uses good head movement to avoid it.
Redmond tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Redmond creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Redmond blocks an uppercut.
Redmond blocking some punches.

Reilly's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Reilly circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Redmond to the canvas! Redmond doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Reilly keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ray Reilly!
