The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanaka moves into the clinch.
Tanaka has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Robinson uses from the top position.
Tanaka utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Tanaka stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Robinson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Robinson is trying to stand up here but Tanaka is controlling him well.

Tanaka wants to lay and pray for a moment but Robinson keeps working.

Tanaka is trying to control. Robinson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Tanaka is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Robinson's half guard.

Tanaka is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Robinson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Tanaka.

Robinson is looking for a sweep. Tanaka is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Tanaka lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Tanaka has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Robinson's face.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Oh Robinson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tanaka loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Robinson scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Tanaka land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Tanaka stands and salutes the crowd.
