Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rick Grimes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Sarmiento (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sarmiento pushes Grimes up against the cage in a clinch.
Grimes tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Sarmiento manages to pull guard.
Grimes is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Sarmiento wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Grimes drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Grimes jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Grimes pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sarmiento is keeping the position for now.
Sarmiento pulls Grimes in close to prevent any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Grimes has gone for a leg lock! Sarmiento slips out almost immediately though and dives into Grimes's guard.
Grimes looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Sarmiento is defending well. Grimes quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Sarmiento has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Grimes celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
