Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ritchie Davidson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kirk Lancaster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Lancaster's choice of entrance music: Raekwon - Guillotine(Swordz). The key to victory for Ritchie Davidson has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ritchie Davidson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kirk Lancaster! The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Chris Dean and Topper Green.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lancaster misses with a lunging right hand
and Davidson makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Lancaster misses with an uppercut. Davidson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Lancaster is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Lancaster throws a poor cross that misses
and Davidson counters by moving into the clinch. Davidson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Lancaster tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Davidson was well out of range. Poor timing from Lancaster. Davidson lands a nice leg kick that just misses Lancaster's sensitive parts. Davidson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Lancaster tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Davidson dives in and grabs Lancaster's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lancaster pushes down on Davidson's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ritchie Davidson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Davidson prevents Lancaster from breaking the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Davidson has Lancaster pressed against the cage, preventing Lancaster from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Davidson drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's one minute gone in the round. Davidson keeps control of Lancaster as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Davidson scores with a shoulder strike. Davidson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Davidson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lancaster but Lancaster pushes him off and we're back to square one. Davidson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Davidson shoots for a double leg takedown but Lancaster sprawls well. He's pushed Davidson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Lancaster tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Lancaster looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Davidson! Lancaster postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Davidson takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Lancaster taking a break here but Davidson is having none of it and regains half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lancaster connects with a nice short shot to Davidson's temple.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lancaster winds up and cracks Davidson with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Davidson missing with punches from the bottom.
Davidson is looking for a sweep. Lancaster is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Davidson taking some punishment here, with Lancaster in his half guard. Lancaster throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lancaster seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Davidson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Davidson on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Lancaster working over Davidson with some ground and pound. Davidson looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Lancaster trying to control from half guard but Davidson is working away. Lancaster not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lancaster trying to control the action but Davidson is working from the bottom. Davidson wants to get back to full guard. Lancaster really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Davidson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lancaster working the head and body with strikes. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Davidson wants to control but Lancaster is keeping busy and won't allow it. Lancaster landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Lancaster trying to control from half guard but Davidson is working away. Lancaster slows the pace down in half guard. Lancaster wants to lay and pray for a moment but Davidson keeps working.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Davidson ducks under a wild hook from Lancaster. Lancaster closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Davidson tries to get back to half guard but can't. Davidson taking a bit of punishment here - Lancaster scoring with strikes. Lancaster is looking to take a break and control but Davidson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Lancaster working the ground and pound. Lancaster looks up at the clock and then as Davidson takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Lancaster smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Kirk Lancaster dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Davidson shoots in but no luck this time. Lancaster with the counter takedown but Davidson avoids it easily. Lancaster looks to throw the jab but Davidson is out of range. Lancaster shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Lancaster is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Davidson is looking to clinch but Lancaster is avoiding it.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Lancaster seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Davidson keeping moving, preventing Lancaster from controlling successfully. Lancaster throws a big elbow that misses. Lancaster is stalling in the full guard.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Lancaster looks to land a right hand but Davidson moved out of range. Davidson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lancaster throws out the jab. Davidson wants to clinch. A jab from Lancaster misses. Ritchie Davidson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Davidson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lancaster tries to avoid it but Davidson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lancaster to the ground. Lancaster escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Lancaster is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Davidson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Lancaster. A jab from Lancaster misses. Davidson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Davidson feinted with a counter takedown. Davidson clinches up with Lancaster and pushes him back against the cage. Lancaster being controlled against the cage. Lancaster has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Lancaster has had enough of the clinch but Davidson keeps him there for the moment.

Kirk Lancaster showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Still in half guard, Davidson seems content to control. Lancaster tries to roll over but Davidson keeps him under control. Davidson is working for a submission of some sort.
Davidson is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
The fighters are battling for position here. Lancaster manages to regain full guard. Nice work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Davidson is looking to work some ground and pound but Lancaster has wrist control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davidson advances to half guard. Kirk Lancaster is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Davidson passes to full mount! Davidson thowing shots but they're missing. Lancaster tries to get back to half guard but can't. Lancaster tries to lock up and control but Davidson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Lancaster is trying to reverse the position but instead Davidson has taken his back - oops! The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Davidson's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Davidson has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Lancaster has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Lancaster is trying to break free.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Davidson is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Lancaster won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Davidson off his unconscious opponent!
