Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Lightning (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Colten Hennessy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Lightning might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Rosalita. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lightning darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Lightning working over Hennessy with some ground and pound. Hennessy looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Lightning is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Hennessy is trying to get back to full guard.
Hennessy wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lightning is looking to take a break and control but Hennessy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Still in half guard, Lightning seems content to control.
Hennessy desperately trying to maintain half guard.

Hennessy wants to get back to full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hennessy lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Lightning!
Lightning is trying to escape the mount.
Lightning slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Lightning has one foot on Hennessy's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Hennessy throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Lightning is breathing heavily.

Hennessy drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Hennessy is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lightning is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
