Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Charles Bronson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lyle Powell!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Dean Styles and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powell shoots for a double leg takedown but Bronson sprawls well. He's pushed Powell's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
As Powell looks to move away, Bronson throws a big counter combo bu Powell just gets out of the way.
Bronson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Powell.
A little feinted left hand from Bronson on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Lyle Powell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Powell is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bronson's half guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Bronson's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Powell is looking for a kimura but Bronson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Powell to get the leverage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Powell is looking to take a break and control but Bronson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Powell sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Bronson defending well though.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Powell thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Powell connects with a nice short shot to Bronson's temple.
Powell is keen to just control but Bronson is a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Powell thows a huge punch but Bronson dodges it nicely.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Nice takedown defense from Bronson. No joy for Powell on that attempt.
Charles Bronson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lyle Powell.
Bronson closes the distance and clinches up with Powell, looking for a takedown. Bronson pushes Powell against the cage but Powell circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Bronson was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Powell tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bronson defends well and Powell ends up having to push Bronson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lyle Powell dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Bronson moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Powell goes down! Can Bronson finish him!?


Powell is rocked!


It looks like Lyle Powell has been cut.
Bronson arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Powell's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Charles Bronson!
Charles Bronson was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
