Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Toghrul Asgarov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buzz Buckson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Toghrul Asgarov has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Toghrul Asgarov seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Toghrul Asgarov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Buzz Buckson! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Igor Prikhodko and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Buckson slaps away a takedown attempt from Asgarov, before circling back to the center of the mat. Danga de danga de dang - Asgarov scores with a four punch combination! Buckson wants to clinch up but Asgarov keeps it at a distance. Buckson gets caught flat footed, as Asgarov shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Asgarov is in close to Buckson's body, working some short punches and elbows. Asgarov controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Asgarov working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Asgarov throwing strikes from guard but Buckson blocks nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Asgarov with a flurry of punches that miss. Buckson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Asgarov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Asgarov is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Asgarov throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Asgarov is looking to work some ground and pound but Buckson has wrist control. Asgarov throwing strikes but missing. Asgarov not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Asgarov lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Asgarov pushing down on Buckson's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Asgarov sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Buckson defending well though. Asgarov looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Asgarov thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Asgarov missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Buckson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Asgarov scores with a couple of nice shots. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Asgarov working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Buckson has eaten all the pies! The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Asgarov connects with a nice short shot to Buckson's temple. Asgarov works his way into side control. We've been hearing good reports from Asgarov's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Buckson is letting Asgarov control him for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sloppy strikes there by Asgarov. Asgarov misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Buckson being controlled for a moment. We've been informed that Buckson has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. An elbow from Asgarov crashes against the mat.
Asgarov slows the pace down.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Asgarov misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Asgarov will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Asgarov is trying to get an arm triangle but Buckson is defending well. Asgarov throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Asgarov is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Asgarov lands a nice forearm strike. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Asgarov controlling the position from side mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Toghrul Asgarov dominated that round. That's time! Asgarov's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Asgarov lands with a hook. Buckson tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Asgarov closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Buckson's guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Buckson can do anything to dispel that myth. Asgarov lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Asgarov with a nice head shot there. Asgarov working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Buckson looking for a sweep. Not yet Buckson, not yet. Toghrul Asgarov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Asgarov is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Asgarov missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Asgarov is pushing down on Buckson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Buckson is fighting to maintain full guard but Asgarov has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's one minute gone in the round. Asgarov throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Asgarov missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Asgarov is working for a submission of some sort.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Asgarov thows a huge punch but Buckson dodges it nicely.
Buckson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Asgarov is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Buckson can do to turn this around? Asgarov keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Asgarov has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Asgarov lands a heavy elbow. Asgarov with a couple of short strikes. Asgarov scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Buckson?

Buckson is rocked! Asgarov putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Buckson is still in real trouble! Can Asgarov finish him? Buckson takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Asgarov's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Toghrul Asgarov! A relieved looking Toghrul Asgarov thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. Buzz Buckson spoke after the fight, saying 'Shucks'.
