Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ronald Raygun! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Neil Drake! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Santiago Holmes and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Drake lands a jab to Raygun's midsection. Raygun blocks a jab. Drake misses with a wild body shot. Raygun ducks right into an uppercut from Drake. Drake keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Raygun shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Raygun has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Raygun tries to free his leg and advance position but Drake is retaining full guard. Raygun with a nice head shot there. Raygun avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Raygun throwing strikes but missing. Drake has an active guard here but Raygun has managed to pass into half guard.
Drake is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Raygun's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Raygun's back!
That's one minute gone in the round. Raygun is in bad spot here.
Raygun covering up well under a barage of strikes. Drake looking for the choke from the back. Drake keeps control of the position as Raygun tries to break free.
Drake somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. Drake tightening his grip on Raygun, looking for the choke. Raygun tries to escape the position.
Drake is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Raygun wants to escape the position.
Drake is cranking Raygun's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Raygun! He's tightened the choke and Raygun is tapping out!
