Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pascal Tr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bartosz Solomon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bartosz Solomon will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pascal Tr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bartosz Solomon!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Solomon circles away from the clinch attempt.
Solomon unleashes a big counter combination but Tr bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Solomon fails in his attempt to clinch.
Solomon fails with the takedown.

Solomon clinches with his opponent.

Solomon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Solomon tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Tr counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Solomon tries to clinch but Tr moves out of range.
A punch combination from Tr misses.
Bartosz Solomon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Solomon is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Tr.

Tr gets a double leg takedown into Solomon's guard.
Tr trying to control but Solomon is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tr trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Tr stands and throws Solomon's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tr misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Tr tries to score with some ground and pound. Solomon controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Solomon avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Tr.
Tr looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Solomon is avoiding damage well.

Tr stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Solomon wants to clinch.
Solomon jabs Tr to the body, keeping him at a distance.
A slapping leg kick lands for Solomon.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Solomon swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Tr shoots in looking for a takedown. Solomon tries to sprawl out of it but Tr keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Solomon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Tr keeps the fight on the outside.
Tr feinted there with a counter leg kick.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Good body shot from Tr.

Solomon's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Tr throws a series of punches but Solomon moves out of range.
Solomon gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Tr counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Solomon misses with a head kick.
Solomon is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Solomon tries a head kick but it misses.
Tr is looking for a counter combo.

Tr closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Solomon's guard.
Solomon working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Tr.

Tr gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Solomon fails in his attempt to clinch.
Tr punishes Solomon's body with a nice straight punch.
A punch combination from Tr misses.
It seemed like Solomon was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Solomon rushes Tr and presses him up against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pascal Tr dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Solomon throws a nice head kick!

Solomon shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Solomon with the ground and pound but Tr uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Tr has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Tr looking to hit a scissor sweep but Solomon is one step ahead there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Solomon postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Solomon with a nice head shot there.
Tr controlling the position.
Tr bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Solomon's guard.

Tr trying to control but Solomon is working from the bottom.
Solomon is looking to stand up but Tr isn't so interested in that idea.
Tr postures up in Solomon's guard and throws a big left but Solomon blocks it.

Solomon is working an open guard so Tr takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Solomon.
Tr avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Tr appears to be looking for a big counter.
Tr punishes Solomon's body with a nice straight punch.
Solomon slips a jab and a cross from Tr.

Solomon looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Tr!
Solomon tries to stand but Tr is controlling his head.
Solomon throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Tr manages to work his way to half guard, despite Solomon's best efforts.

Tr preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Tr pushes Solomon off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Solomon shoots in looking for a takedown but Tr manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Solomon's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Tr cracks a nice hook into Solomon's ribs.
Nice sprawl there from Tr as Solomon shoots in.
Pascal Tr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bartosz Solomon.
Solomon is breathing heavily.
Solomon throws a head kick that misses.

Solomon closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tr circles away.
Tr tries to counter by clinching up but Solomon breaks away and moves out of range.
Tr blocks the body kick.
Tr misses with a kick to the body.
Solomon leaves Tr with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Tr punishes Solomon's body with a nice straight punch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Solomon tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Tr defends well and Solomon ends up having to push Tr into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Tr changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Solomon throws a head kick but Tr moves out of range.
Tr seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Pascal Tr will probably get the nod.

Solomon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tr moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Solomon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tr swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Solomon fails in his attempt to clinch.
Tr uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Solomon.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Solomon fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Solomon is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Tr is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Solomon to keep the fight standing.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Solomon is persisting with his attempts to control the action in the clinch, rather than do any real damage.
Solomon keeps control of Tr as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Solomon misses with a knee to the head.
A head punch on the inside from Solomon fails to land.
Solomon trying to control the position but instead, Tr has worked for underhooks and has pushed Solomon into the cage.
Tr wants to take the fight to the mat but Solomon manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Tr's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Tr as Solomon tries to tie him up.
Solomon tries to work over Tr's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Tr tries to break free but Solomon pushes him back against the cage.

Tr's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Solomon tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Tr counters with a right hand to the body.
Tr is looking to wear down Solomon with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Sloppy strikes from Tr. Those never looked like landing.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Solomon throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Tr blocks it with crossed arms.
Solomon misses with a knee strike.
Solomon crunches a lovely knee into Tr's ribcage.
Solomon throws a knee to the head but misses.
Solomon takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Solomon manages to break the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tr goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Solomon throws a nice head kick!
Solomon blocks a leg kick.
Solomon tries to clinch but Tr is having none of it.

Tr has Solomon up against the cage in a clinch.
Solomon tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Tr tries a body shot but Solomon blocks it.

Solomon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Tr looks for a takedown but Solomon sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pascal Tr. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Solomon doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Tr counters with a straight right hand.
Tr rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Solomon moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Solomon unleashes a big counter combination but Tr bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Tr swats away the attempt to clinch by Solomon.
Tr half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Tr scores with a one two! Solomon had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

And that's the end of the fight!
Pascal Tr showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Tr, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
