Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Bob Sapofski! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sapofski throws a nice looking combination but Reutland bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Sapofski will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Reutland advances position into side control! Reutland has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Reutland in side control, throwing shots but Sapofski defends. Sapofski takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. That's three minutes gone in the round. Reutland has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The strikes coming from Reutland are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Sapofski stops Reutland from passing to mount. Reutland tries to score with some ground and pound. Sapofski controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Sapofski looks gassed! Sapofski being controlled for a moment. Sapofski is pushing Reutland's head away, looking to escape. Reutland manages to hold on to the position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Reutland postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Tony Reutland just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Reutland gets the takedown into side control. Reutland is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Sapofski's shoulder. That is not cool. Reutland creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Sapofski sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Sapofski is breathing heavily. Reutland happy to just control the position for now. Reutland throws a strike aimed at the side of Sapofski's head but Sapofski avoids it well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. A combination from Sapofski does no damage. Reutland scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Sapofski seems a little lost for a moment, as Reutland dominates the positioning. Reutland's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Reutland tries to score with some ground and pound. Sapofski controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
