Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dim Sum!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Buff Crow!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Winston Alpacca and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sum throws a series of punches but Crow avoids them all with ease.
No joy there for Sum, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sum falls off balance throwing a combination
and Crow counters with a left to the body.
Crow throws a low kick but Sum moves out of range easily.
A jab from Crow finds it's way through Sum's defenses.
Crow punishes Sum's body with a nice straight punch.
Crow throws a half hearted mid kick.
Crow lands a body shot.
Crow lands a jab-cross combination.
A head kick misses from Sum.
Crow thuds a left hand into Sum's body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sum lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Crow circles away quickly and effectively.
Crow is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Sum with a body shot.
Crow connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Sum blocks a leg kick.
Sum manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Crow on his heels. He'll look to pass Crow's guard now, I'm sure.
Sum with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Sum knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Crow on the ground.
Crow controls Sum momentarily but Sum frees himself.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sum is looking to work some ground and pound but Crow has wrist control.
Crow is trying to keep Sum in close.
Sum with a flurry of punches that miss.
Crow avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Sum postures up.
Sum working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Crow has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Sum doesn't defend quickly enough and Crow has managed to lock this one up! Can Sum escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Crow on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Buff Crow!
Our winner, Buff Crow, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
