Francisco comes into the arena with No Mercy blaring out of the sound system. Brabo Garcia has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Andreh Francisco's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andreh Francisco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brabo Garcia!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Francisco connects with a body shot that sends Garcia's belly button to the back.
A head kick misses from Garcia.
Francisco throws a hook but Garcia avoids it easily.
Garcia moves forwards but Francisco connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Garcia walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
A lazy left from Francisco finds it's target.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Garcia lands a nice knee to the body.
Garcia is trying to drag Francisco to the mat but Francisco just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Francisco misses with a hook from the clinch.
Francisco is trying to push Garcia away but Garcia has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Francisco is looking to control Garcia's arms but Garcia gets an underhook and turns him. Now Francisco has his back to the cage.

Garcia has clasped his hands together around Francisco's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Francisco parries the strikes from Garcia easily there. Garcia is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Francisco to escape.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Francisco is looking to reverse the position.
Garcia lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Francisco down.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Garcia postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Garcia looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Francisco is avoiding damage well.
Francisco tries to get back to half guard but can't.
An elbow from Garcia crashes against the mat.
Francisco tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Garcia wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Garcia is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Francisco is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Francisco is not content to let Garcia control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Garcia lands a few punches from side control.
Francisco sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Garcia looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Francisco with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Francisco is pressing down on Garcia's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Francisco working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Garcia doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Francisco is tightening it up a little... Garcia has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Garcia reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Garcia taps out! Nice BJJ there by Francisco!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Andreh Francisco!
A relieved looking Andreh Francisco thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
