Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Louis Beck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Neves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Louis Beck!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricardo Neves!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Thiago Cunha and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Neves drives through with a takedown into guard.
Beck is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Neves trying to control but Beck is working from the bottom.
Neves stops Beck from standing up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Beck avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Neves loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Louis Beck is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Beck tries to sprawl but Neves drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Neves seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Neves seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Beck does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Neves wants to free his trapped foot but Beck is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Beck is refusing to be controlled, as Neves sits in half guard.
Neves wants to advance to full mount but Beck doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Neves prevents Beck from getting back to his feet.

Neves got a little sloppy there for a moment and Beck has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Neves has managed to get both his arms back between Beck's legs - danger averted.

Beck pushes Neves off and gets back to his feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Beck enables Neves to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Beck manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Neves controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Beck working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Neves doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Neves manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Beck has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Neves can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Neves decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Beck, up you get!

Neves closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Beck's guard.

Neves is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Neves trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Neves is looking to work some ground and pound but Beck has wrist control.

Beck is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Neves defends well.
Neves trying to control but Beck is working from the bottom.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Neves throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Neves trying to control the position from guard on top but Beck is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Beck wants to stand up but Neves is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Beck really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Beck not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Neves is standing up over Beck. Beck looks to escape but Neves dives into side control.
Beck is not content to let Neves control the position.

Neves decides to stand back up.

Neves moves into the clinch successfully.
Neves prevents a takedown attempt there.

Beck breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Beck jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Neves closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Beck quickly recovers to half guard.
Neves is trying to control. Beck wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Beck is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Neves's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Neves's back!
Will Beck go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Beck punches the canvas rather than the man.
Neves has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Neves trying to get back to his feet but Beck is in full control for now.

Neves is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it.

Neves changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Beck looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Neves is breathing heavily.
Neves trying to control the action but Beck is working from the bottom.
Beck struggling a bit here.
Beck tries to bench press Neves off him but Neves keeps the position.

Neves prevents Beck from escaping the position.

Neves goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Beck rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Neves's guard! Nice work there by Beck!
Neves wants to get back to his feet but Beck passes into half guard.
Neves is trying to stand back up but Beck is controlling him
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Neves blocking the ground and pound attempt from Beck.

Beck is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Neves is just riding it out for now. Beck eventually gives up the hold.
Beck not landing any meaningful shots this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ricardo Neves showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Neves closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Beck did well to prevent Neves getting side control.
Beck is trying to stand.
Beck is staying active underneath Neves, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Neves bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Beck is working to avoid the ground and pound but Neves connects with a decent elbow.
Beck is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Neves is controlling him well.

Neves decides to stand up, so the ref orders Beck to his feet.

Neves dives in and scores a takedown into Beck's guard.
Neves takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Beck wants to stand and escape but Neves is having none of it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Neves manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Beck on his heels. He'll look to pass Beck's guard now, I'm sure.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Neves passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Beck!
