Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, K.J. Choi!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Borschev fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Choi has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Borschev scoring well with a low kick there.
Choi ducks under a wild hook from Borschev.
Borschev throws a front kick aimed at Choi's knee but Choi avoids it well.
Choi throws a push kick but Borschev slaps the foot to one side.
Borschev misses the shot to the body.
Borschev missing with a left hand there. Choi was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Borschev is looking to land body kicks.
Choi is looking to land body kicks.
Choi misses with a low kick.
Borschev is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
A bone on bone clash there as Choi blocks the leg kick.
Choi connects with a crisp jab.
Borschev swinging wildly here.
Choi throws a looping overhand right but Borschev ducks down to avoid it.
Choi keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Borschev throws a leg kick but Choi sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Borschev gets caught napping as Choi dives in and scores a takedown. Borschev manages to retain guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Choi drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Borschev defends it well.

Borschev throws a leg kick but Choi moved away.

Choi blocks a low kick nicely.
Choi feints and then cracks Borschev's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Borschev down.
Borschev moves out of range as Choi strikes.
Dmitry Borschev is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Choi steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Borschev.

Choi gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Borschev looks to land a left hand but Choi moved out of range nicely.

Borschev tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Choi was well out of range. Poor timing from Borschev.
Borschev scores with a nice body kick.
Choi throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Borschev counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Borschev takes the fight into the clinch.
Choi has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Borschev after a bit of a struggle.
Choi misses with a punch to the body.
Borschev misses with the head strike.
Borschev lands a nice uppercut.
Choi blocks an uppercut.
Borschev throws a punch but it's blocked by Choi.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Choi drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Borschev gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Choi is trying to drag Borschev to the mat but Borschev just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Dmitry Borschev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of K.J. Choi.
Choi misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Borschev fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Borschev tries a body shot but Choi blocks it.

Choi is trying to trip Borschev. He has hold of a leg but Borschev is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Choi persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Borschev is pulling down on Choi's head. It's preventing any offense from Choi, at least for the moment.
Choi showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Borschev pulls Choi in close to prevent any damage.
Choi pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Borschev is keeping the position for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Choi misses with an uppercut.
Borschev pivots, looking for a leg kick but Choi is out of range and Borschev settles back down.
Borschev ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Choi takes a head kick and keeps coming.


It looks like K.J. Choi has been cut.
Borschev stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Borschev wants it to stay on the feet.
Borschev tries to clinch but Choi moves out of range.
Borschev lands an overhand right.
Borschev throws a quick inside leg kick.
Borschev with a nice cross.
Choi chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Borschev can pounce on him.
Borschev moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Borschev attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Borschev looks to score with a jab to the body but Choi is just out of range.
Choi bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Choi looks to land a combination but Borschev avoids it well.
Choi throws a leg kick but Borschev checks it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Borschev lands with a cross.
Choi shoots in and drives through. Borschev sprawls well.
Borschev lands a front kick.
You can see that Choi has visibly slowed down as a result of the leg kicks
Choi is breathing heavily.
Nice takedown defense from Borschev. No joy for Choi on that attempt.

Choi looks up at the clock. Bad move! Borschev lands a right hand from hell, dropping Choi. Borschev pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
