Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between David Montanes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dirk Ante (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Montanes comes to the cage accompanied by Mudvayne - Fall Into Sleep. Ante has chosen Da Mystery of Chessboxin' as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, David Montanes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dirk Ante!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Seu Braga and Matheus Silva.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ante avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Montanes keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Montanes lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Ante has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Ante and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
A combination from Ante does no damage.
Ante lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

It looks like David Montanes has been cut.
Ante stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Montanes.
Ante throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Montanes fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Ante moves out of range as Montanes strikes.
Montanes is looking to land body kicks.
Montanes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ante tries to avoid it but Montanes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ante to the ground. Ante escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ante dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Montanes. That did some damage!
Montanes shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Montanes. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ante lands with a right hand.
Dirk Ante seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Montanes throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Ante's head.
Montanes looks for a takedown but Ante sprawls well.
Montanes is breathing heavily.
Montanes closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Ante misses with a double jab.
A lazy left from Ante finds it's target.
Montanes tries for a takedown but Ante sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Montanes seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Ante shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Montanes is backing up but Ante catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Montanes covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Ante Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
