Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Franklyn Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aiden Woodsmall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Franklyn Stone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aiden Woodsmall! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Eddie Farnsworth and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Woodsmall scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Stone tries to roll over but Woodsmall keeps him under control. Stone is looking to escape. Stone has one foot on Woodsmall's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Woodsmall shoots in and bounces Stone off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Woodsmall must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Stone has a closed guard, preventing Woodsmall from standing up. Woodsmall missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Woodsmall is looking to work some ground and pound but Stone has wrist control. Woodsmall trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Stone bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Woodsmall's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Stone lands a couple of elbows. Stone drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Stone jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stone is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Woodsmall is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Woodsmall has escaped and now he's on top! Stone wants to stand up but Woodsmall is controlling him. Stone looking to hit a scissor sweep but Woodsmall is one step ahead there. Stone bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Woodsmall's guard.
Stone drops back looking for a leg! Woodsmall is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Woodsmall manages to kick Stone off! Stone jumps back into Woodsmall's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stone in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Stone scoring with some ground and pound. Stone working some strikes from top position. Stone throwing strikes from guard but Woodsmall blocks nicely. Woodsmall not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stone stands up from guard. Let's bang! Stone shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Woodsmall manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Stone postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Woodsmall is looking to stand up but Stone isn't so interested in that idea. Stone is looking to stand up but Woodsmall won't let him. Stone drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Stone jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Woodsmall preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stone wants to stand but Woodsmall is controlling his posture from full guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Stone throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Woodsmall works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Woodsmall throws a low kick but Stone avoids it. Woodsmall doesn't manage to clinch there - Stone circles away.
Stone is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Woodsmall. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Woodsmall chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Horrible takedown attempt by Stone or perhaps it was just good defense by Woodsmall, which made it look bad. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Franklyn Stone will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Woodsmall rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Stone moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Stone throws out a loose jab but Woodsmall uses good head movement to avoid it. Woodsmall lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Woodsmall closes the distance and clinches. Stone jumps guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stone wants to stand and escape but Woodsmall is having none of it. Stone has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Woodsmall trying to control but Stone is working from the bottom. Stone is trying to keep Woodsmall in close.
Woodsmall trying to control the position from guard on top but Stone is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Woodsmall throwing strikes but missing. Stone keeping moving, preventing Woodsmall from controlling successfully. Franklyn Stone overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stone looking to hit a scissor sweep but Woodsmall is one step ahead there. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Stone is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Woodsmall throws a head kick that Stone semi-blocks.
It looks like Franklyn Stone has been cut. Woodsmall throws a right and a left that Stone avoids nicely. It looked like Stone was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Stone loads up on a big right hand but Woodsmall slips the punch. Woodsmall is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Stone tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Woodsmall swivels and escapes. Woodsmall unleashes a big counter combination but Stone bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Woodsmall gets a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stone tries to circle away but Woodsmall has him pinned against the cage. Stone wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Stone is trying to pull guard but Woodsmall has him pressed against the cage. Woodsmall breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Stone rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Woodsmall moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Woodsmall tries to clinch up. Woodsmall fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Stone. A combination from Woodsmall does no damage. Stone swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Stone looks to land a body kick but Woodsmall moved away. A thudding body kick lands there by Woodsmall!
Woodsmall swings away with a leg kick that misses. Woodsmall tries to clinch up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stone slips a jab and a cross from Woodsmall.
Woodsmall fails to land with a series of punches.
Woodsmall explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Stone gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Woodsmall to score an easy takedown into full guard. Woodsmall is breathing heavily. Stone with a couple of shots from the bottom there - nothing Woodsmall can't handle though.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Stone is on top in guard.
Stone is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Stone drops back, looking for a kneebar! Woodsmall looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Woodsmall looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Woodsmall!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stone is trying to improve his position. Stone might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Woodsmall throwing shots but missing, from side control. Woodsmall throwing strikes but missing, from side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stone is trying to improve his position. This has been an exciting period of action! Woodsmall in side control, throwing shots but Stone defends. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Stone manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Stone lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Woodsmall makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Aiden Woodsmall showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Franklyn Stone's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Stone closes the distance and clinches up with Woodsmall, looking for a takedown. Stone pushes Woodsmall against the cage but Woodsmall circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Woodsmall clinches up against the cage. Woodsmall breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Woodsmall closes the distance looking to clinch and Stone counters with a nice uppercut. Woodsmall closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Stone prevents Woodsmall from improving position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Woodsmall wants to control but Stone is keeping him busy. Stone manages to work his way to half guard, despite Woodsmall's best efforts.

Stone won't allow Woodsmall to pass to mount. Stone is looking for a sweep. Woodsmall is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Stone wants to get back to his feet.
Stone wants to control but Woodsmall is keeping busy and won't allow it. Stone makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Woodsmall's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Woodsmall duly obliges. Stone throws a hook but Woodsmall avoids it easily. Woodsmall misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Woodsmall takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Woodsmall takes the fight into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stone drops down looking for an ankle pick but Woodsmall pulls his leg out and moves away.

An inside leg kick from Woodsmall misses. Stone shoots in for a takedown but Woodsmall shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Franklyn Stone. That's going to take a lot out of him. Woodsmall misses with the combination.
Stone tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stone throws a right hand that Woodsmall ducks under and follows up with a left that Woodsmall also avoids with ease. Stone fails to land the takedown. Woodsmall lets loose with a powerful body kick. Stone will feel that in the morning. Woodsmall has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Stone is not content to let Woodsmall control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Aiden Woodsmall comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Woodsmall has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
