Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Burns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bob Huk!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns avoids the head kick by Huk.
No joy there for Huk, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Huk rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Burns moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Burns doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Oooh a lovely combination from Huk sends Burns down but not out. Huk dives into side control looking to finish.


It looks like Jake Burns has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Huk tries to stand but Burns is controlling his head.
Burns manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Burns is trying to work for a kimura but Huk is defending well.
Huk is trying to stand.
Huk looks gassed!
Burns wants to pass to mount but Huk is defending the position.
Huk is trying to stand.

Burns stands up and beckons Huk to join him on the feet.
Burns slips a jab and a cross from Huk.

Burns closes the distance and clinches.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Burns with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Huk throws a punch but it's blocked by Burns.
Burns gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Huk gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Burns.
Huk wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Huk wants to break free but Burns has control.
Huk wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Burns has him pressed against the cage.

Burns jumps guard and drags Huk to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Burns is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Huk has his hands clasped together but Burns extends an breaks Huk's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Burns.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jake Burns!
