The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fogomayu looks to land a right hand but Myler moved out of range.
Good leg kick by Myler there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Fogomayu throws a lazy head kick
and Myler counters with a low kick, right behind Fogomayu 's knee.

Fogomayu shoots in and gets a takedown into Myler's guard.
Myler is trying to keep Fogomayu in close.

Fogomayu avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Fogomayu trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Myler had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Fogomayu defends it easily.

Fogomayu trying to control but Myler is working from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Myler is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Myler is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Fogomayu is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Fogomayu content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Myler has locked up a guillotine! Myler's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Fogomayu is holding on here and Myler must be using up a lot of energy. Fogomayu has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Myler gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
