Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lee Murray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Woods (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Ryoma Takatsuka and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murray has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Murray there as he acknowledges the shot.
Woods looks to land a left hand but Murray moved out of range nicely.
Woods moves away from the strike by Murray.
Murray throws a sloppy head kick and Woods moves out of range easily.
Woods has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Murray is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Woods stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Murray has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
A head kick misses from Murray.
Murray throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Woods swings for the body but Murray moves out of range.
And Murray counters with a quick kick to the body but Woods blocks it.

Murray is looking to slow Woods down with leg kicks.
Murray bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Woods throws a shot from downtown. Murray moves away and avoids it.
Carl Woods seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Murray dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Woods. That did some damage!

Woods takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Woods throws a combination. Murray tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Murray tests Woods's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Woods moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Woods bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Woods uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Murray.
Woods throws a big shot that misses.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Murray lands a nice leg kick that just misses Woods's sensitive parts.
Woods loads up on a big right hand but Murray slips the punch.
Murray jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Woods lands with a right hand.

Woods misses with a straight left.
Woods lands an overhand right.
Murray is rocked!
Murray slips a jab from Woods.
Murray avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Murray moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Oh Murray is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Woods might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Woods cracks Murray with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Murray tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Woods pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Murray is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Carl Woods!
Carl Woods bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
The defeated Lee Murray had this to say: 'He is good, respect.'.
