Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Trouble Some (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and M J Shain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Some's entrance music is Von Hertzen Brothers - Coming Home. A fine choice. Shain has chosen Thunderstruck as his entrance music. Trouble Some has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, William Gold and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Shain.
Some buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
The fighters circle momentarily. Some darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
It looks like M J Shain has been cut.
Some has been working on his boxing with his coaches at KO Gym in the buildup to the fight.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Shain.
Some leaves Shain with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Shain has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Shain wants to take a breather but Some is having none of it.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Shain turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Shain swats away the attempt to clinch by Some.
Shain flicks out a counter leg kick but Some steps away.
Some missing with a left hand there. Shain was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Some throws a wild body kick that Shain sees coming a mile off.

Shain looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Some is fending him off so far but Shain persists. Nope, Some circles away and we're back to standing.
Trouble Some has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of M J Shain.

Some throws a quick counter kick to the body but Shain avoids it.
Shain throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Some.
Some takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

That was a close round but I would say that Trouble Some will probably get the nod.

Some bone on bone action there as Some checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Shain is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.

Shain closes the distance and clinches up with Some, looking for a takedown. Shain pushes Some against the cage but Some circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Shain drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Some walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Shain checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Some dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Shain. That did some damage!
Some ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Shain moves away.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Some lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Shain has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Shain and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

A lazy left from Some finds it's target.
Some feints and then cracks Shain's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Shain down.
Some bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Shain's head backwards.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Some scores with a head kick. Shain tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Shain fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Some sprawls well initially but Shain persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Trouble Some.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Some, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
