PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Manfred Honeypott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willy Cannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Willy Cannon was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 17 - 0, fighting out of New York, Manfred Honeypott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of New York, Willy Cannon!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Dean Styles and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cannon looks to score with a jab to the body but Honeypott is just out of range.
Honeypott scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Cannon connects with a body shot that sends Honeypott's belly button to the back.
Cannon rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Honeypott counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
A nice combination there by Cannon.
Cannon throws an off balance right hand
and Honeypott counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Willy Cannon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Honeypott takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Cannon wants to clinch but Honeypott slips to the side
enabling Honeypott to counter with a crisp jab.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Honeypott definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cannon presses Honeypott against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Cannon dips a shoulder and cracks Honeypott with a mighty uppercut! Honeypott falls back against the cage and Cannon unloads with a barrage of strikes! Honeypott is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Cannon screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Willy Cannon!
