Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Roads (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ruben Albarran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Roads! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ruben Albarran ! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roads shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Albarran as he jumps to the side. Roads shoots in for a takedown but Albarran shows good takedown defense. Roads has Albarran up against the cage in a clinch.
Roads lands a hook that snaps the head of Albarran backwards.
It looks like Ruben Albarran has been cut. Albarran is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Roads pulls him back up using the underhooks. A right handed body shot lands from Roads.
Roads lands a left hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A right hand to the body from Roads.
Roads lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Albarran . Roads pulls guard effortlessly. Albarran has gone for a leg lock! Roads slips out almost immediately though and dives into Albarran 's guard. Albarran keeping full guard, as Roads tries to pass.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roads trying to control the position from guard on top but Albarran is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Albarran uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Roads's guard. Nice move by Albarran !
Albarran postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Roads is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Albarran , into his guard. Roads throwing strikes but missing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Roads trying to control but Albarran is working from the bottom. Roads lands a couple of elbows. Roads won't allow Albarran to get back to his feet. Roads throws a big right hand that misses. Roads keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Albarran 's head. Albarran wants to stand but Roads is controlling the position. Roads with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Roads trying to control the position from guard on top but Albarran is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Roads slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A momentary lapse in concentration from Albarran enables Roads to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Albarran manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Albarran is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Roads has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Albarran working a defensive guard here.

James Roads dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ruben Albarran 's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Albarran shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Roads as he jumps to the side. Albarran shoots and misses and Roads counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Albarran on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Roads is looking to stall here but Albarran recovers full guard. Albarran looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Albarran is trying to keep Roads in close.

Albarran is working an open guard so Roads takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Roads moves into the clinch. Roads lands an elbow just above Albarran 's eye.

Albarran is rocked! Roads lands a takedown into guard.
Albarran is still in real trouble! Can Roads finish him? Roads gets to his feet - Albarran follows without any prompting. James Roads seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Roads moves into the clinch. Albarran takes a shot to the head. Roads has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Albarran clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Roads is landing big shots and Albarran is squirming looking to escape! He can't escape though and the ref jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James Roads!
