The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking body kick lands there for McGinley.
Odin thumps McGinley with a low kick.

Odin stuns McGinley with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

McGinley displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Odin.
Odin throws a right and a left that both miss.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from McGinley.
McGinley tries to clinch there but Odin circles away.
Odin shoots in looking for a takedown. McGinley tries to sprawl out of it but Odin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McGinley manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

McGinley swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Odin.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McGinley steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Odin. That one must have hurt.

Odin changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McGinley looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Odin is looking to take a break and control but McGinley is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Odin goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, McGinley has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Odin but great work by McGinley.

McGinley decides to stand up, so the ref orders Odin to his feet.
McGinley dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Odin. That did some damage!
McGinley is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Odin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches McGinley napping and manages to drive through into side control!
McGinley wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Shavo Odin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Anderson McGinley's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Odin batters McGinley with a massive right followed by a huge left! McGinley is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Odin lands a final crushing right hand to drop McGinley to the mat with a gruesome thud! Odin is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
