Freeman closes this distance looking for a takedown but Garkov circles away.

Despite the aggression on Freeman's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Freeman uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Garkov.

Garkov is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Freeman's half guard.

Garkov is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've been hearing good reports from Garkov's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Garkov has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Freeman to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Garkov is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Freeman pulls down on the head and he's put Garkov to sleep! This one is all over!
