Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Norman Parke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Logan Sackett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). He arrived on a last minute flight shortly after looking tired and unhappy. Officials decided the fight should still take place, much to the delight of the fans in attendance. Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Norman Parke and Logan Sackett. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Norman Parke! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Logan Sackett! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sackett misses with a low kick.
Parke avoids a kick to the body.
Parke bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Sackett's head backwards. That kick from Sackett tenderised Parke's leg. Parke is trying to keep his angry face on. Sackett fails in his attempt to clinch. Parke changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Sackett looks for the body kick but Parke saw that one coming. Sackett sizes up Parke with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Parke misses with a few strikes there.
Sackett's coach down at Broken Halo Vegas was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Sackett's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Sackett scores with a spinning back kick! Sackett waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Parke. Parke just misses with a punch to the body.
Parke moves out of range as Sackett strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Parke lands a slapping body shot.
Parke ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. The crowd cheers as Parke lands an impressive looking overhand right. Sackett doesn't seem phased though. Sackett moves away from the strike by Parke. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Parke uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Sackett. Parke appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Sackett lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Parke has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Parke and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Parke scores with a shot to the body.
Sackett walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Parke checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Sackett takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Sackett jabbing away but nothing is landing. Sackett fails with an attempt to clinch.
Sackett throws a lazy body kick and Parke counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Parke. Parke stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sackett swivels though and keeps the full guard. Parke working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Sackett looking to control.
Sackett keeping moving, preventing Parke from controlling successfully. Parke postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sackett looking to hit a scissor sweep but Parke is one step ahead there. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Parke trying to control the position from guard on top but Sackett is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Sackett swings for the body but Parke moves out of range.
Parke takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Parke drops down looking for a counter takedown but Sackett sprawls and moves away. Parke tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sackett was well out of range. Poor timing from Parke. Sackett misses with a leg kick. Sackett moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sackett throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Parke scores with a body shot.
Logan Sackett is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sackett tries to clinch but fails miserably enabling Parke to counter with a crisp jab. Parke throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sackett takes the fight into the clinch. Parke tries to score a body lock takedown but Sackett shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Parke lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Parke tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. A short right hand to the side of the head by Sackett. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Sackett. A head punch blocked on the inside by Sackett. Parke working aggressively here.
Parke breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sackett throws a leg kick and Sackett takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Sackett drives through and clinches with Parke against the cage.

Parke connects with a body shot that sends Sackett's belly button to the back. This has been an exciting period of action! Sackett is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Parke checks a leg kick. Sackett looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
A slapping leg kick lands for Sackett.
Parke blocks a leg kick. Sackett lands a nice looking body kick. Parke misses with a takedown and Sackett counters with a head kick. That will keep Parke thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Sackett closes the distance looking to clinch and Parke counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Nice defenses there by Sackett. Parke keeps the fight on the outside. Parke avoids a kick to the body.
Parke ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Parke connects with the punch. Parke tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Norman Parke will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Sackett cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Sackett takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Parke cracks Sackett with a right hand to the side of the head. A head kick by Sackett misses and Parke counters with a shoot takedown. Sackett fights it but they end up in guard. Parke loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Parke trying to control but Sackett is working from the bottom. Sackett preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Parke has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Parke throws a strike but Sackett rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Parke manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sackett manages to get himself to full guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sackett looking to hit a scissor sweep but Parke is one step ahead there.

Parke postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Sackett wants to sweep but no luck. Parke throws a big right hand that misses. Sackett is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Sackett has Parke pulled in close to control his posture. We've been hearing good reports from Parke's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Parke throws an elbow that misses. Sackett uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Parke's guard. Nice move by Sackett!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sackett postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Parke looking for a sweep. Not yet Parke, not yet. Sackett throws a strike but Parke rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Parke tries to free his leg and advance position but Sackett is retaining full guard. Sackett preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Sackett lands a nice shot to the head. Sackett cracks Parke with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Parke wants to hold on but Sackett pushes him away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sackett thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

A close second round but Logan Sackett will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Parke throws a body shot but no joy. Sackett tries to move into range but Parke moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Sackett tries to land a front kick but Parke steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Parke on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Parke fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sackett manages to avoid it. Sackett walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Parke checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Sackett misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Sackett. Sackett with poor footwork there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sackett trying to control but Parke postures up.

Sackett defending well as Parke loads up on a big left hand. A low kick from Sackett misses and Parke counters with a nice uppercut. Sackett misses with a leg kick so Parke counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Parke with a flurry of punches that miss. Sackett tries to land a sweep but no joy. Parke throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Sackett lands with a nice body kick. Parke is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. A head kick from Sackett lands but Parke takes it in his stride. Parke throws a good cross that connects.

Parke swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Sackett throws a push kick but Parke slaps the foot to one side. Parke swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Sackett. Sackett throws a solid leg kick but Parke takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Sackett. A little feinted left hand from Parke on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Parke paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Parke throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Parke follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Sackett tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A leg kick checked by Parke. Sackett scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nice body punch from Parke. Logan Sackett has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Sackett throws a nice looking combination but Parke bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Sackett throws a leg kick that is checked and Parke counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Parke stopping the sweep attempt from Sackett.

Sackett looking to hit a scissor sweep but Parke is one step ahead there. Parke postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Parke stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sackett swivels though and keeps the full guard. Parke slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Parke moves out of range of the body kick from Sackett.
Parke changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Parke is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sackett can do to turn this around? Sackett keeps Parke at a distance using the push kick. Sackett throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Parke tries to bum rush Sackett with a series of wild strikes but Sackett uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Sackett throws a big shot that misses. Norman Parke is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Sackett tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Sackett, right into the meat.
Parke clobbers Sackett with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Parke bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Sackett wants to land a leg kick but Parke is out of range. A punch combination from Parke misses. Parke takes a swing at Sackett's ribcage but misses. Sackett follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Parke scores with the left hand. Sackett knows he should have avoided that one. Sackett lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
And that's the end of the fight! Norman Parke showed his dominance in that final round. I think Parke has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
