Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Homer Le (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Niilo Hamalainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Niilo Hamalainen is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Homer Le! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Niilo Hamalainen! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hamalainen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Le to the mat! Le manages to get full guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hamalainen's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Le could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Hamalainen slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Le is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Hamalainen working the head with strikes. Hamalainen working the body and head with strikes. Hamalainen taking a breather here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hamalainen cracks Le with an elbow. That is naaassty. Le takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Le trying to remain calm as Hamalainen controls from the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hamalainen scores with a couple of short elbows. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hamalainen lands a decent elbow from side control. Le is letting Hamalainen control him for a moment. Hamalainen's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Hamalainen is putting a hurting on Le here, landing some big shots from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hamalainen working the ground and pound from side control. Hamalainen tries to move to mount but Le blocks the move with his legs. Le might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Hamalainen moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Hamalainen working the ground and pound. Hamalainen just content to control the position. Le tries to get back to half guard but can't. Hamalainen is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hamalainen connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Le some visible discomfort.
Hamalainen trying to control the position but Le is working away. Hamalainen has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Hamalainen just content to control the position. Hamalainen lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Hamalainen taking a breather here. Le is looking for a sweep. Hamalainen just content to control the position. Le is pushing Hamalainen's head away, looking to escape. Hamalainen manages to hold on to the position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Le is looking to regain half guard here but Hamalainen keeps moving and retains side control. Hamalainen controls the position. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Hamalainen landing a few strikes. Le being controlled for a moment. Le gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Le taking shots to the head. Hamalainen dominating with strikes here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Niilo Hamalainen dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Hamalainen throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Le was covering up waiting for the punch and Hamalainen finishes the takedown easily into guard. Hamalainen is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Hamalainen lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Hamalainen sitting in guard here, content to control. Le controls Hamalainen momentarily but Hamalainen frees himself. Niilo Hamalainen has got the better of the ground game so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hamalainen scoring with some ground and pound. Le wants to hit a switch here but Hamalainen passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Le there!
That's one minute gone in the round. Hamalainen scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Le is rocked! Le is trying desperately to improve position. Hamalainen takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Hamalainen is continuing to stall. Hamalainen landing shots from mount. Oh Le is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Hamalainen putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Hamalainen sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Hamalainen postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Le bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Hamalainen and the fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Niilo Hamalainen! Niilo Hamalainen decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
