Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Simon Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Potopitch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Simon Scott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Paul Potopitch!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott slaps away a takedown attempt from Potopitch, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Scott fails with a takedown attempt.
Scott will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Scott tries to keep at a distance but Potopitch has taken the fight into the clinch.
Potopitch tries to score a body lock takedown but Scott shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Potopitch escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've been told by Scott's head coaches at Pitbull MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Scott has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Potopitch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Potopitch tries to clinch but Scott is having none of it.
Scott throws a big counter combination but Potopitch scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Scott shoots in and gets a takedown into Potopitch's guard.
Potopitch managing to control the position.
Scott slips nicely into half guard.

Potopitch is looking for a sweep.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Potopitch is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Scott off and has taken his back!
Potopitch controls the position.

Potopitch has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.

Potopitch tries to get the hooks in deep but Scott pushed the leg off.

Potopitch is cranking Scott's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Scott! He's tightened the choke and Scott is tapping out!
