Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tonny Karpecny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Money Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tonny Karpecny!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Money Hughes!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Joseph Jones and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hughes moves into the clinch successfully.

Hughes pulls guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hughes is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Hughes is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Karpecny is aware though and is defending well.
Hughes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Karpecny. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Karpecny tries to free his leg and advance position but Hughes is retaining full guard.

Hughes working for a triangle but Karpecny defends it easily.
Karpecny is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hughes looking to hit a scissor sweep but Karpecny is one step ahead there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Karpecny stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hughes swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Hughes working for submissions but it's allowed Karpecny to get to half guard.
Karpecny content to control rather than advance.
Karpecny lands strikes from half guard.

Hughes looking for submissions off his back.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Karpecny works his way into side control.
Karpecny scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Hughes to see if he's OK.

Karpecny tries for a kimura but Hughes is defending well.

Karpecny stands up and beckons Hughes to his feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Karpecny.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Karpecny moves away from the strike by Hughes.
Hughes lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Karpecny fails with a takedown attempt.

Karpecny gets caught flat footed, as Hughes shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Hughes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Karpecny swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Karpecny trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

Hughes postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Karpecny is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hughes, into his guard.

Karpecny not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hughes is trying to keep Karpecny in close.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Money Hughes will probably get the nod.
That's time! Karpecny's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Hughes closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Karpecny quickly recovers to half guard.
Hughes wants to control but Karpecny is keeping him busy.
Hughes throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Karpecny is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hughes's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hughes's back!

Karpecny looking to break Hughes's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Hughes remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Karpecny will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Karpecny connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Hughes to escape the position.
Karpecny is working the ground and pound. Can Hughes escape?
Hughes is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Karpecny is landing with strikes. Hughes can't take much more of this.
Karpecny really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Hughes.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Karpecny is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Hughes has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Karpecny has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Hughes taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Karpecny doesn't care though - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Tonny Karpecny!
