Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Sock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Mcninch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jack Sock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Michael Mcninch! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mcninch throws a head kick that half lands.
Sock scores with a nice head shot. Sock scores with a jab to the body. Mcninch shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sock sprawls well. Sock wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mcninch gets slowly back to his feet. Mcninch is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sock sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Mcninch tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Sock defends well and Mcninch ends up having to push Sock into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Sock feinted with a counter takedown. Jack Sock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Mcninch. Mcninch fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Mcninch dives in and grabs Sock's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sock pushes down on Mcninch's head and hops out. Sock tries to counter with a takedown but Mcninch is quick to defend against it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mcninch tries for a takedown but Sock sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Sock is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Mcninch. Mcninch looks winded! Nice body punch from Sock. Mcninch on the wrong end of a nice hook.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sock lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Mcninch shoots in but Sock avoids the takedown attempt easily. Sock stuffs the takedown. Mcninch fails with the takedown and Mcninch takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Sock scores with a body shot.
Mcninch takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Mcninch shoots in but no luck this time. Nice jab there from Sock. Sock scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Mcninch walks into a stiff left hand from Sock. Sock could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Mcninch shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sock looking for a takedown here - he's got it. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Sock trying to control but Mcninch is working from the bottom. Sock throws a big elbow that misses. Sock stands up over Mcninch, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Sock postures up in Mcninch's guard and throws a big left but Mcninch blocks it. Mcninch preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Sock wants to control from the top but Mcninch keeps moving. Sock slips nicely into half guard. Sock thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mcninch's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sock connects with a nice short shot to Mcninch's temple. Sock throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sock throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Sock looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Mcninch blocking the ground and pound attempt from Sock. Sock throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Mcninch felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sock is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mcninch knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Sock in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Sock in side control lands a decent elbow. Sock moves into full mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sock lands a heavy elbow.
Mcninch is rocked! Sock cracks Mcninch with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Sock!
