The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
penn has closed the distance and engaged Dale in a clinch.
Dale breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
penn closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Dale actively working from the bottom here.
Dale is trying to stand up here but penn is controlling him well.
penn wants to control but Dale is keeping him busy.

Dale tries to get to full guard but penn has control of the leg.
Dale is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of penn's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take penn's back!
