The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Resnov misses with a wild body shot.

Levine has closed the distance and engaged Resnov in a clinch.
Resnov lands a hook that snaps the head of Levine backwards.
Levine gets through Resnov's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Levine changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Resnov fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Resnov moves into the clinch successfully.
Levine throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Levine fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Resnov, pushing him back against the cage.

Levine is trying to break the clinch but Resnov is controlling him.
Resnov blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Resnov keeps control of Levine as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Levine tries to score a body lock takedown but Resnov shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Resnov is pressed up against the cage. Levine has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Resnov down to the mat. Resnov avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
