The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Germano connects with the punch.

It looks like Edwin Elpidio has been cut.
Germano misses with a series of wild punches.
Elpidio lands with a shot to the body.
Elpidio misses with a wild combination.
Germano throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Elpidio counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Rui Rodrigo Germano has been cut.
Elpidio scores with a hook.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Elpidio stuffs the takedown attempt from Germano. Germano gets slowly back to his feet.
Germano tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Elpidio was well out of range. Poor timing from Germano.

and Elpidio counters by moving into the clinch.
Germano is working for takedown but Elpidio is calmly controlling the position for now.
Germano can't find room to land a body shot as Elpidio controls the action.
Elpidio struggles to land a body shot inside as Germano controls his hands.

Elpidio lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Germano drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Edwin Elpidio has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rui Rodrigo Germano.
Elpidio is pressed up against the cage. Germano has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Elpidio down to the mat. Elpidio avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Elpidio lands a left and a right that send Germano crashing to the mat, dazed. Elpidio thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Germano is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Elpidio cracks Germano's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Germano slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Elpidio can do further damage! This one is done, son!
