Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Antti Konna!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Xia Hua!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnem�ki and Marco Blurstr�m.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hua throws a big shot that misses.
Konna looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Hua tries for a takedown but Konna sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Konna tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hua swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Konna takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Hua closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Hua shoots for a double leg takedown but Konna sprawls well. He's pushed Hua's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Konna lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Hua is looking to close the distance but Konna sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Hua crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Hua is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
