Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hans Gruber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brendon Aberdeen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hans Gruber! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brendon Aberdeen! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Aberdeen with that takedown attempt. Aberdeen has his takedown stuffed enabling Gruber to counter with a crisp jab.
It looks like Brendon Aberdeen has been cut. Aberdeen shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Gruber napping and manages to drive through into side control! Aberdeen is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Gruber's shoulder. That is not cool. Aberdeen with the ground and pound but Gruber regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Aberdeen trying to control from half guard but Gruber is working away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gruber keeps control of the position for the meantime. Gruber is trying to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aberdeen wants to work for an arm triangle but Gruber is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Gruber wants to improve his position but Aberdeen is controlling well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Aberdeen is looking to take a break and control but Gruber is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Gruber gets back to full guard.
Aberdeen trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Aberdeen preventing the sweep. Gruber seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Gruber keeping moving, preventing Aberdeen from controlling successfully.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A swing and a miss from Gruber. Aberdeen gets a double leg takedown into Gruber's guard. Gruber keeping moving, preventing Aberdeen from controlling successfully. Gruber keeping full guard, as Aberdeen tries to pass.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gruber pulls Aberdeen in close to prevent any damage. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Gruber looking for a sweep. Not yet Gruber, not yet. Aberdeen being controlled here momentarily. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Gruber manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Aberdeen manages to get himself to full guard.
Gruber postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Gruber passes into half guard. Aberdeen makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Aberdeen. Gruber trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Aberdeen looking to control.
Gruber works a leg free and moves into half guard. Aberdeen looking for submissions off his back. Gruber works his foot free and advances to mount. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Gruber lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Hans Gruber will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Brendon Aberdeen's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Aberdeen misses with a takedown attempt - Gruber sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Aberdeen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Aberdeen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Gruber feinted with a counter takedown. Gruber lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Aberdeen falls backwards - clearly groggy! Gruber dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hans Gruber! Hans Gruber decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
