Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andre Wells (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clydee Forte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Forte has chosen Psycho Holiday as his entrance music. Clydee Forte told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andre Wells! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Clydee Forte! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Forte. No joy for Wells on that attempt. Wells misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Andre Wells seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wells fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andre Wells. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wells scores a takedown into full mount! Wells swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Forte is now in Wells's guard. A big mistake from Wells there, giving up the dominant position! Forte drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Forte jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Forte throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Wells working for a triangle but Forte defends it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Forte trying to control the position from guard on top but Wells is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Wells tries to land a sweep but no joy. Wells is looking for a triangle but Forte pushes his legs off easily.

Forte is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Wells is on top in guard.
Wells passes Forte's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Wells tries to pass to full mount but Forte defends it. Forte looking for submissions off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wells trying to mount his opponent but Forte defends it. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Forte works his way to full guard. Good work. Forte working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wells doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wells manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Forte looks gassed! Wells thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Forte had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Wells is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Forte Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Wells's back instead. Forte is trying to stick to Wells's back but Wells is turning into Forte. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Forte's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Wells. Forte is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Wells is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Forte's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Forte's back! Forte is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Wells working for the choke. Wells is trying to stick to Forte's back but Forte is turning into Wells. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Wells's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Forte. Forte stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wells swivels though and keeps the full guard. Wells wants to sweep here but Forte controlling him for the moment. Wells has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Forte can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Wells is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Forte drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Forte jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andre Wells dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Wells looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Forte is fending him off so far but Wells persists. Nope, Forte circles away and we're back to standing. Wells fails with a takedown attempt. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Wells. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andre Wells. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wells fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wells tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Forte swivels and escapes. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Wells shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Forte as he avoids it easily.

No luck for Wells with that takedown attempt. Wells shoots in but Forte avoids the takedown attempt easily. Forte scores with a takedown into Wells's guard. Forte sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Wells's guard. Wells actively working from the bottom here. Forte seems to be looking for submissions.

Forte passes Wells's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Wells moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Forte passes Wells's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Wells is in trouble now - Forte has advanced to mount! Wells is desperately trying to improve his position but Forte has a good base and remains in mount. Forte looking for a guillotine from mount but Wells is having none of it. Forte looking to control but Wells is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Wells manages to regain half guard. Good work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wells is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Forte's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Forte's back! Wells will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Wells is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Forte defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Forte is in bad spot here.
Wells sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Forte taps out!
