Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ralf Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jason Carter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ralf Jones! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Sandra Marshall and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones misses with a low kick.
Jones moves into range and clinches up with Carter. Carter doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Jones has had enough of the clinch but Carter keeps him there for the moment. Jones takes a knee to the side of the body. Carter keeps control of Jones as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Carter misses with the head strike.
Carter lands an elbow inside that Jones shrugs off.
It looks like Ralf Jones has been cut. Jones dodges an elbow strike from Carter.
Jones tries to break free but Carter pushes him back against the cage. Jones looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Carter tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Jones no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Jones is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Jones will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Jones tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones pulls Carter in close to his closed guard and prevents Carter from doing any damage or advancing position. Carter landing with the ground and pound. Jones had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Carter defends it easily. Carter missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Jones wants to sweep but no luck. Carter trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom. Carter has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Jones has momentary wrist control but Carter slips an elbow through the middle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Carter in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Carter throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Jones has his hands on Carter's head, controlling the position. Carter throwing strikes but missing. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Carter is working Jones over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Jones looking for a guillotine here but Carter defends easily.
Carter postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carter wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving. Carter controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jones tries to clinch but Carter is having none of it. Jones throws a head kick but Carter moves out of range.
Carter defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jones. Carter changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Carter avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Carter smiles and moves away.
Jones is looking to clinch. Carter shoots in looking for a takedown. Jones tries to sprawl out of it but Carter keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Carter's waist but Carter gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jones off to one side. Jason Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ralf Jones. Jones throws a head kick that misses. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! A bone on bone clash there as Carter blocks the leg kick.
Carter fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jones sprawls well initially but Carter persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Carter winds up and cracks Jones with a swinging punch to the side of the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jason Carter dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ralf Jones's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Carter shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jones sprawls well. Jones wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Carter gets slowly back to his feet. Carter tries a head kick but it misses.
Carter is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jones can do to turn this around? We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carter keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Jason Carter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jones tries for a takedown but Carter sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Carter seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Carter looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jones is fending him off so far but Carter persists. Nope, Jones circles away and we're back to standing.

He's got his arms around Jones's waist but Jones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Carter off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Carter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jones tries to land a front kick but Carter steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Carter gets a takedown into half guard. Carter is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Carter wants to get up but he can't break Jones's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Carter trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jones is trying to control the position but Carter postures up. Carter is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jones is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jones has escaped and now he's on top! Jones showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carter keeping full guard, as Jones tries to pass. Jones slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Jones passes Carter's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Carter wants to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Jones stands up and beckons Carter to join him on the feet. Jones has closed the distance and engaged Carter in a clinch.
Jones drops down looking for an ankle pick but Carter pulls his leg out and moves away.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jason Carter will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Ralf Jones's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carter is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Carter throwing strikes from guard but Jones blocks nicely. Jones has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Carter is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

That's going to take a lot out of Ralf Jones. Carter tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jones just stands there and leans against the cage. Carter breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jones shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Carter changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jones looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Jones wants to get back to his feet. Jones takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carter working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Carter is trying to get an arm triangle but Jones is defending well. Jones manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Jones wants to control but Carter is keeping busy.
Jones should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Carter drops an elbow to the side of Jones's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carter looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jones with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Carter is working for a submission of some sort.
Jones gets full guard. Jones lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Jason Carter overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Carter wants to stand and escape but Jones is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Jones is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Jones is looking to work some ground and pound but Carter has wrist control. Carter is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jones working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
And that's the end of the fight! Jason Carter showed his dominance in that final round. Well Carter has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
