Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elmer Franks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Suprano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Elmer Franks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Diego Suprano! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Franks instigates a clinch. Suprano has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Franks clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Franks is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Suprano controlling from the back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Suprano trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Franks looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Franks is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Franks might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Franks is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Franks could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Suprano not allowing Franks to control his hands. Suprano is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Franks knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Franks for a finish. Suprano controls the action. Franks can't escape the position.
Suprano is trying to stick to Franks's back but Franks is turning into Suprano. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Suprano's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Franks. Suprano is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Franks accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Franks lands a couple of decent looking shots. Suprano is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Franks is aware though and is defending well. Franks works over Suprano with some ground and pound from guard. Franks postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Franks with a flurry of punches that miss. Franks throws a big elbow that misses. Suprano had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Franks defends it easily. Franks throwing strikes but missing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Franks stands up over Suprano, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Suprano working a defensive guard but Franks manages to pass into side control anyway.
Franks is trying to get an arm triangle but Suprano is defending well. Suprano can't do much from the bottom here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Franks has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. A head kick misses from Suprano. Suprano lands a nice leg kick that just misses Franks's sensitive parts. Nice body kick there by Suprano. Suprano pushes Franks up against the cage in a clinch. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Suprano throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Suprano pulls Franks into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Diego Suprano dominated that round. That's time! Franks's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Nice uppercut there from Suprano. Suprano lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Franks circles away quickly and effectively. Suprano closes the distance and clinches. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Franks has Suprano pressed against the cage, preventing Suprano from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Suprano has hold of one of Franks's legs. Franks is fighting the takedown attempt but Suprano gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Franks is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Franks looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Franks is pulling down on Suprano's head. It's preventing any offense from Suprano, at least for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Franks is on top in guard.
Diego Suprano has got the better of the ground game so far. Suprano has momentary wrist control but Franks slips an elbow through the middle. Franks has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Franks cracks Suprano with a solid left hand. Suprano escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Franks gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Franks with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Suprano avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Franks throwing strikes from guard but Suprano blocks nicely. Franks distracts Suprano with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Franks throws an elbow that misses. Suprano uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Franks's guard. Nice move by Suprano! Franks is adopting a defensive guard. Suprano must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Franks controls Suprano momentarily but Suprano frees himself. Franks has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Suprano has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Suprano looking to pass the guard. Suprano trying to control the position from guard on top but Franks is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. The fight moves into the clinch position. Suprano prevents a takedown attempt there.
Suprano's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Franks takes a shot right to the bread basket. Franks wants to clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Diego Suprano showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Franks tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Suprano drives through with a takedown into Franks's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Franks has his foot on Suprano's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Suprano works his way back into a safe position though. Franks looking for a sweep. Not yet Franks, not yet. Suprano wants to control from the top but Franks keeps moving. Franks is pulling down on Suprano's head. It's preventing any offense from Suprano, at least for the moment. Franks has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Suprano can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Franks has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Suprano has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Franks takes a knee to the side of the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Suprano has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Franks regains guard immediately. Suprano is looking to advance position but Franks has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Suprano tries to lock up and control but Franks gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Franks landing strikes, looking to finish! Suprano tries to hold on but Franks postures up. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Franks punishing his opponent with strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Suprano is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Suprano takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Franks working for a submission but Suprano is keeping him at bay. Franks breaks from Suprano's wrist control and lands an elbow. Franks with shots to the head and body - Suprano looks very uncomfortable down there. Franks fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Franks landing strikes from the mount. Suprano wants to control but Franks is having none of it. Franks connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Franks is in the full mount, landing strikes. Franks landing strikes from the mount and Suprano is in trouble! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Suprano is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Franks lands a couple of good shots and Suprano has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
And that's the end of the fight! Elmer Franks showed his dominance in that final round. I think Suprano has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
