Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Austin Gross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kala Oshiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oshiro has chosen Hawaii 5-0 as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Austin Gross! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kala Oshiro! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oshiro shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gross as he jumps to the side. Oshiro misses with a head kick.
Oshiro shoots in looking for a takedown. Gross tries to sprawl out of it but Oshiro keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gross manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Gross is looking to break free of the clinch but Oshiro has double underhooks. Oshiro tries to stall but Gross uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Oshiro gets control of Gross's arms and successfully pulls guard. Oshiro will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Oshiro working for a triangle but Gross defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Oshiro working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Gross. Oshiro is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gross missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Oshiro throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Oshiro looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gross is one step ahead there. Oshiro avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Gross throws a big right hand that misses. Gross throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gross accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Gross has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Oshiro holds on and takes a little breather. Gross trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Oshiro is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Gross is controlling him.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Oshiro defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gross. Gross breaks the clinch.
Oshiro looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Austin Gross has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kala Oshiro. Gross gets a clinch. Gross tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Oshiro just stands there and leans against the cage. Gross's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Nice sprawl there from Oshiro as Gross shoots in. Oshiro clinches. Oshiro lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Oshiro is defending well against a takedown attempt. Gross really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Gross ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Gross no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gross looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Oshiro has picked Gross up and slammed him! Gross can't keep hold of the triangle and Oshiro manages to pass to side control! Gross knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Oshiro on the ground. A lull in the action here. Let's hope that Oshiro has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Oshiro wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gross keeps working. Oshiro is putting a hurting on Gross here, landing some big shots from side control. Check out the look on Oshiro's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Oshiro tries for a kimura but Gross is defending well. Gross is pushing Oshiro's head away, looking to escape. Oshiro manages to hold on to the position though. Gross is looking for a sweep. Oshiro scores with a couple of short elbows. Oshiro tries for a kimura but Gross is defending well. Gross looks to move to half guard but instead Oshiro has passed into mount! Damn! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Gross wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kala Oshiro dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Gross shoots in and drives through. Oshiro sprawls well. Gross keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Oshiro shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Oshiro showed some decent athleticism there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Oshiro decides to return to a standing position. Gross shoots for a double leg takedown but Oshiro sprawls well. He's pushed Gross's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Oshiro feints the counter takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Oshiro goes for a double leg but Gross avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Gross continues to drive forward. Oshiro decides to pull guard. Oshiro is looking to stand up but Gross isn't so interested in that idea. Gross postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Oshiro has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oshiro not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Gross postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Oshiro is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gross, into his guard. Gross tries to strike from the bottom.
Oshiro is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Gross is looking for a triangle here but Oshiro uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Gross tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Oshiro wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oshiro passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Gross! Gross is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Oshiro controlling his opponent. A nice elbow there by Oshiro. Gross wants to try and get back to his feet. Gross throws a strike but has given up his back in the process.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oshiro sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Gross taps out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Kala Oshiro! Kala Oshiro decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
