The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez dives in and grabs Dooley's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dooley pushes down on Sanchez's head and hops out.
Dooley misses with a looping right.
Sanchez seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Sanchez shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Dooley looking to slow down the pace here.
Sanchez working hard to break the clinch.
Dooley is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Sanchez pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Sanchez avoiding damage as Dooley throws knees to the body.
Sanchez tries to pull guard but Dooley forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Diego Sanchez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dooley tightens his grip and picks Sanchez up, before dumping him to the ground. Sanchez manages to land in guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dooley wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Sanchez's closed guard. He's half up but Sanchez has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Sanchez pivots and extends the arm, Dooley falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Sanchez! Well done that man!
