The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Chad Campbell and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makunouchi cracks Rzeznik with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Rzeznik shoots for a takedown but Makunouchi saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Rzeznik goes for a double leg but Makunouchi avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Makunouchi continues to drive forward.
Rzeznik shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Makunouchi defends it nicely.
Ippo Makunouchi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tadek Rzeznik.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Rzeznik.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rzeznik shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Makunouchi but Makunouchi pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Ippo Makunouchi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rzeznik takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Rzeznik closes the distance and clinches.

Makunouchi is pressed up against the cage. Rzeznik has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Makunouchi down to the mat. Makunouchi avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Rzeznik misses with a takedown
and Makunouchi counters with a crisp one two that drops Rzeznik! Makunouchi thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Rzeznik to his feet! Rzeznik is in big trouble!
Rzeznik is rocked!
Rzeznik looks winded!
Makunouchi lands with a right and another and another! Rzeznik is in big trouble! Makunouchi lands again and this time it's lights out for Rzeznik! A quality knockout there for Makunouchi.
