The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spider drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Osborn wants to sweep but no luck.
Osborn keeping full guard, as Spider tries to pass.
Spider cracks Osborn with a solid left hand.
It looks like Lon Osborn has been cut.
Spider in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Spider loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Spider trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Spider makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Spider accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Spider is working Osborn over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Spider must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Spider arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Osborn's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
